Hey, I'm Sam, founder of Sam Thompson Nutrition and evidence-based online nutrition coach. My job is to help make nutrition as simple as it can be so that you have all the tools you need to look, feel and move better.

 

Whether you want to lose weight, build muscle, get healthier or improve performance for your sport, I'm here to give you the support, guidance and direction to get you there in the best way possible. 

 

I have a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science and a MSc in Nutrition and have spent my time since then continuing to research nutrition practices and apply the most effective strategies to help clients get amazing results with their nutrition. 

My passion for nutrition came from a personal perspective whilst at University. Playing both for the University football team as well as playing at a semi-professional level, I often found that I wasn't performing and recovering the best that I could. 

 

After spending my later years at University studying as much about nutrition as I possibly could, I found that not only my performance, but also my recovery after training and matches, was massively impacted when I started eating the right foods at the right time. I was getting stronger, faster, leaner and all round a better athlete. 

 

However, It was a hugely frustrating journey full of confusing, conflicting and dogmatic information that was being put out online. It made it so much more difficult to understand what actually was important and what was just the 'icing' at the top of the cake. 

 

I also found that most diets and nutrition plans required a huge amount of sacrifice, willpower or expensive supplements which provide little to no value. I wanted to create an experience in which you can fit great nutrition into your life rather than the other way round.

This is exactly how I work with clients, completely individualised around your likes, dislikes, training schedule, workday, cooking ability, stress, sleep and more so that you get a nutrition plan that is not only an extremely effective one, but that is also built specifically for YOU!
